ANITA’S PICK Celtic Festival

Dye my hair red, slap my backside and call me MacLeod. At the Elizabeth Celtic Festival, I  channel my Celtic roots. In its 20th year, this festival blends traditional Scottish highland games with medieval and renaissance festivities, including children’s activities, an English dog show, loads of merchants and vendors, artisans, and authentic Celtic music. And don’t forget to check out the Colorado State Haggis Tossing Championships on Saturday. The festival runs from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Casey Jones Park, 34201 County Road, Elizabeth. Parking cost $2. Tickets are $10, $5 for teens, seniors and military, free for children 12 and younger;  303-646-0152 or elizabethcelticfestival.com.
