New signs over Highway 24 will close portions of the roadway Thursday night.

Those headed east on U.S. Highway 24 at Powers Boulevard will face a detour from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday.

The alternate route will take them north on Powers Boulevard, then east onto Galley Road, and finally south onto Peterson Road, which will take drivers back to Highway 24.

Previous sign replacement happened Wednesday night over portions of I-25.
