Struggling right-hander Jhoulys Chacin will not report to the minor leagues following his recent demotion from the Rockies as he irons out issues surrounding his confidence and his health.

The Rockies demoted Chacin to Triple-A Colorado Springs last Wednesday but there is no current timetable on when he might join their rotation.

“We’re still working through his issues and trying to get our arms around everything before we move forward,” general manager Dan O’Dowd said Monday.
