Rod Blagojevich makes burger run before entering prison
At first, Bryce Kuschel didn’t know what to make of the scene at Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers in Littleton, where he stopped in on his lunch break from school and found a mop-haired man glad-handing customers before a swarm of cameras.
Rod Blagojevich, the disgraced Illinois governor on his way to begin a 14-year sentence for corruption at the nearby Federal Correctional Institution Englewood, wasn’t exactly going to prison quietly.

“He just came up to us and started chatting and said, ‘Hi, I’m the former governor and it’s nice to meet you,'” said Kuschel, 15, who was sampling the eatery with some friends. “Then he went on to other people.”
Shortly before noon, Blagojevich made the rounds and posed for photos with the locals, including Kuschel and his buddies. Then he shared his $7 burger and fries with the Chatfield High School students.
