Rollover on I-25 slows morning traffic
Southbound traffic on Interstate 25 was disrupted for about an hour after a rollover just south of Garden of the Gods Road about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Colorado Springs Police officer Mike Jelmo said the driver of the car sideswiped another vehicle while traveling southbound on I-25, causing her to lose control and veer off the highway.
The driver climbed out of the vehicle before police arrived and was transported to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Jelmo said the driver, who was alone in the car at the time of the accident, would likely be cited for careless driving.
The accident slowed traffic on I-25 for more than an hour as the car was righted and removed.
