Colorado has been touted as key to the White House, and apparently two of the Republican presidential candidates believe it.

Rep. Ron Paul, of Texas, will stop in Colorado Springs today for the last of three Front Range events, and former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, of Pennsylvania, has scheduled four events in Colorado during the week.

Paul’s and Santorum’s local events are open to the public.

Paul will be at the Colorado Jet Center, 1575 Aviation Way, at 2 p.m. He began the day with two stops up north — at 10 a.m. at Colorado State University’s Lory Student Center in Fort Collins and at noon at the Renaissance Denver Hotel.

Today, Santorum will be at the Lone Tree Golf Club Lounge.

On Wednesday, Santorum has two local events. At 1 p.m., he will stop at the Ute Pass Cultural Center in Woodland Park and then will hold a rally at 7 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2221 N. Wahsatch Ave.

Santorum will attend an energy summit Saturday at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden.
