Colorado Springs will dry out slightly throughout the weekend, but monsoon season is still underway, according to a National Weather Service spokesman. 

“We still have a monsoon flow coming up into the area. Essentially, as far as the lower elevations, we will probably remain dry into about middle of next week,” National Weather Service spokesman Jim Hall said.

There is a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms predicted for Saturday. Dry conditions are expected for Sunday and Monday, with temperatures reaching a high of 93 degrees. 

Moisture will return next week, with thunderstorms expected Wednesday and Thursday and persisting through the end of the week.
