The new kids on the Class 4A block proved to everyone they belonged Saturday as the Discovery Canyon Thunder took home the biggest trophy at the Region 2 tournament at Widefield, claiming four individual titles and qualifying 11 for next week’s state tournament in Denver.

The Thunder held a 30-point lead with six wrestlers going for titles going into the final round. They walked out with a 226-184 win over Pueblo South.
