Danielle Wahl is a big fish in a small pond at Colorado Springs School. But her status doesn’t shrink in the Cheyenne Mountain pool.

Wahl, a senior at CSS and a four-year member of the Indians’ swim team, won the 200-yard individual medley and 100 breaststroke Thursday to help host Cheyenne Mountain beat Doherty 210-102. She also swam on the winning 200 medley and 400 free relays.

“She’s an animal in the pool,” Indians coach Kate Doane said. “It’s awesome. And she doesn’t like to lose. She’s a classic competitor.”
