Future of Cowboys’ liquor license still in limbo

The Colorado Springs  liquor board on Friday postponed a hearing to consider the suspension or revocation of the liquor license issued to Cowboys night club downtown.

The matter is now scheduled for Aug. 20.

The city asked for a delay because two primary witnesses weren’t able to attend, said city prosecutor Scott Patlin. The liquor board unanimously approved the continuance, said Vince Linden, attorney for Cowboys president, Kathleen Guadagnoli.

In August, the board will consider whether the night club served alcohol to a minor and whether a Cowboys bouncer shoved a woman into a wall without provocation.  The city said both incidents occured on March 17.

Another delay is unlikely, Linden said.
