9 teams deploy to rescue couple in Cheyenne Canyon
A man and a woman were rescued from the rocks of Cheyenne Canyon Wednesday night after a daylong search for the two hikers.
Colorado Springs Firefighters climbed to rescue the pair, one of whom had a leg injury.
El Paso County Search and Rescue had been searching for the pair most of Wednesday afternoon. Crews searched around the Manitou Incline and in Waldo Canyon.
It took nine high-angle rescue teams — 35 people — more than three hours to lower the man and woman from the rocks.
