Pair wanted by Sheriff’s Office for questioning in Monument child’s death
El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies have issued a nationwide bulletin for law enforcement to be on the look out for two former residents of the Monument townhome where a little girl’s dead body was discovered in a crawl space last week.Monique Lynch and Hanif Sims are believed to have moved out of the townhouse at 764 Century Place, Unit A, in early 2009, said Lt. Lari Sevene, sheriff’s spokeswoman. Deputies want to question the pair in the death, Sevene said. Both have warrants out of New Jersey, one likely reason Sevene said they aren’t coming forward. Lynch is wanted on a drug-related probation violation; Sims is wanted on a weapons violation. The El Paso County Coroner’s office has yet to release an identiy, exact age or cause or manner of death on the girl whose body was found by construction workers May 14. Sevene said it will be several weeks before the coroner gets lab results back that could help provide more answers.
