Colorado Lottery is getting into the Mega Millions jackpot game.

The $1 game is like a clone of Powerball, but the odds of being a Mega Millions millionaire are a bit better.

Odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1-in-176 million. Compare this to the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot: 1-in-196 million.

Mega Millions tickets go on sale Sunday for the first drawing on Tuesday. Drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays.

Mega Millions is played in 41 states and Washington, D.C. 

The game has a starting jackpot of $12 million.

Overall odds of winning a prize, starting at $2, are 1-in-40.
