A man who caught the attention of Colorado Springs police on a call for a suspected drunken driver was hospitalized late Friday after crashing into a car.

Police said Escobar A. Pascual, 43, hit several cars in an apartment complex parking lot at 1331 Potter Drive shortly before midnight.

Police said Pascual drove away on Potter, ran a stop sign at San Miguel Street, ran a red light at Galley Road, then crashed into a parked vehicle in front of 930 Potter Drive.

Pascual was removed from the car by Colorado Springs Fire Department and taken to Memorial Hospital Central. A hospital representative said Saturday that he had been treated and released.

According to the police blotter, Pascual was arrested.

Police said no other details were available.
