April is gone, so surely the snow flurries that danced all the way up to the bitter end on Friday are gone, right?

Not so fast.

The National Weather Service’s Climate Prediction Center says that May has a 60 percent chance of being wetter than usual — and some of it could come as snow.

May usually gets about 2.4 inches of rain and 1.3 inches of snow. So, there will likely be more than that, and more than the usual eight days with thunderstorms.

And we could get a lot of snow. The record for the month is 14.9 inches, on May 5, 1978.

Temperatures, should be around the average high of 68.4 degrees and low of 54.6 degrees.

The record temperature for the month was set at 94 degrees on May 30, 2000. The record low is 15 degrees set May 1, 1916.
