A 25-year-old man was killed and two other people were either shot or stabbed early Friday in a fight south of Colorado Springs near the Fort Carson Army post, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said.

An autopsy is schedule for Saturday, according to sheriff’s spokeswoman, Lt. Lari Sevene. If the death is ruled a homicide, it would be the second this year in unincorporated El Paso County.

Shortly after midnight, deputies recieved reports of shots being fired and wounded victims.

At the Stratmoor Shops on B Street, deputies found a 17-year-old who had been shot in the hand and shoulder who had sought help at a pizza place. He told deputies there was another victim nearby before being taken to a hospital.

The 25-year-old who also had been shot was found in front of an apartment in the 1600 block of Hampton Road South, according to Sevene.

A third victim, 18-year-old Carlos Olguin, who had been stabbed in the head, back and neck, was found near Loomis Avenue and Dove Place. He was also taken to a local hospital, where he is in fair condition, Sevene said.

Deputies recovered a gun from the area.

Sevene said the three victims were the only people directly involved in the violence, and that there is not a threat to the public. Sheriff’s deputies are searching for potential witnesses, she said.
