Dream is on for the $252 million Powerball jackpot
How does a cool $121.7 million in cash sound?
That’s the cash payout on tonight’s Powerball $252 million jackpot if only one ticket hits.
It’s the biggest Powerball pot since last August and the 11th largest ever.
“We are seeing an increase in sales and we expect it to continue increasing if the jackpot does not get hit,” lottery spokeswoman Erika Gonzalez said.
Of every dollar spent on Colorado Powerball tickets, 37 cents goes to new trails, expanded parks, open space and wildlife protection.
Gamblers can also “Dream On” with the lottery’s new $5 Aerosmith-themed scratch tickets with prizes up to $100,000.
To promote the game, Aerosmith “Guitar Hero” contests will be held 6 to 8 p.m. April 26-29 at Southside Johnny’s, 528 S. Tejon Street, with the final battle on April 30. Winner gets a prize pack that includes $500 in cash, 50 Aerosmith scratch tickets and Aerosmith-autographed items.
