A jury is deliberating whether to convict Marc Sylvester in the shooting death of 35-year-old Jennifer C. Warren.

Warren was found shot to death on Feb. 9, 2009, near Book Drive and Milne Road just east of Schriever Air Force Base.

Though the prosecution showed the jury a taped confession from Sylvester, 38, in which he demonstrated how he shot Warren between the eyes at close range with a high-powered rifle, his defense lawyers argued he was brow-beaten into giving a false confession.

Prosecutors maintained that Warren was killed for snitching on meth dealers.

In the two and a half week trial, Assistant District Attorney Dan Zook showed cell phone records pinpoint Sylvester’s location to an area east of the Air Force base in the early morning hours of the day Warren disappeared. Zook also said Warren’s blood was found in Sylvester’s truck, along with a high-powered rifle, a stun gun and a pair of handcuffs that Zook said were used in the kidnapping.
