A suspected child molester on the run from Indiana was arrested on Thursday in Fountain by Colorado Springs Police.

Robert Behmke, 31, is wanted by police in Schererville, Ind., on child molestation charges.

Indiana detectives contacted Springs police Tuesday asking for help locating Behmke, who was believed to be in the area.

Thursday, SWAT officers located Behmke at a friend’s house in the area of 900 Grinde Ave. in Fountain.

Behmke was arrested without incident.
