Man stabbed in possible gang-related fight
A 24-year-old man who was beaten and stabbed drove himself to the hospital for treatment early today.
Colorado Springs police said the man, whose name was not released, was assaulted in the 2600 block of East Yampa Street about 2 a.m. The victim told police he was at a friend’s house when several males attacked him.
Police said he had a severe stab wound to his back and other contusions. He was admitted to Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
“We do think it is gang-related attack,” said Sgt. Mark Devorss. “At this point, we don’t have any suspects.”
