Colorado Springs police Thursday arrested a man suspected of attacking a woman and robbing her in a Wal-Mart parking lot last month.

Michael Smith, 45, was arrested at the Airport Value Inn and Suites, 6875 Space Village Ave., according to a police report. He had just arrived at the hotel in a stolen vehicle, police said.

Officers had a warrant for his arrest in connection with a Nov. 11 robbery at the Wal-Mart at 3205 E. Platte Ave. Police didn’t release any details about that case.

Two female passengers were reportedly with Smith on Thursday, including Lashunda Frazier, 22, who was arrested on suspicion of crimes police did not specify. The second passenger, Deborah Arkebauer, was “held forfurther investigation,” police said.

Smith and Frazier were booked into the El Paso County jail.
