No foul play suspected in Springs woman’s death at Sand Dunes

The body of a 27-year-old Colorado Springs woman was found today at Sand Dunes National Monument in south central Colorado, the Alamosa County sheriff said.

Kristin Weiss’ 2000 Honda sedan was found Wednesday evening in the parking lot at the dunes. Her body was found around 8:30 this morning about 250 yards away from her car.

Preliminary investigations show no signs of foul play, said Sheriff Dave Stong.

Weiss’ body was sent to the El Paso County Coroner’s office for an autopsy.
