A 66-year-old woman is in critical condition tonight after running in front of oncoming, rush-hour traffic and being struck by a pickup truck.

Juana Servantes Decavellero did not have the right-of-way when she was crossing Circle Drive from east to west along the south curb of Platte Avenue, police said. Decavellero waited for the car in front of the pickup to pass but then ran in front of the pickup, driven by 70-year-old Jesse Mabe, police said.

Mabe will not be ticketed in the incident, police said.
