An at-risk elderly woman disappeared Thursday afternoon from a Wal-Mart hair salon, and police are concerned that she isn’t properly dressed to be out in dropping temperatures tonight.

Elaine Medcap, 70, is a resident at the Westside Assisted Living Center, and was dropped off at the hair salon. An employee at the Wal-Mart on South Eight Street last saw Medcap about 1 p.m.

Her caregivers told police she hadn’t had her psychological medicine since 7 a.m.

Medcap is said to be wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray pants.
