A 22-year-old man and his 13-year-old nephew are unlikely to survive a three-car crash at Palmer Park Boulevard and Bula Drive earlier this evening that shut down the major artery for hours, police said.

The 22-year-old, whose name wasn’t released, was driving east on Palmer Park about 6 p.m. when he lost control  in a curve and struck the front end of a van travelling west carrying a 31-year-old woman and two children ages 8 and 4.

A third car travelling west was involved in the accident, police said.
