Whoever said opportunity only knocks once never met Nolan Glivar. The Sand Creek senior forward took advantage of numerous chances offered on the soccer field last week, scoring nine goals and adding five assists in three shutout wins.

“I just did the finishing,” he said. “My teammates supplied the passing, and I just capitalized on all the opportunities.”

Glivar, an all-Metro Conference first-team selection last season, said the Scorpions (5-0-1, 2-0 5A Metro) jelled in victories over Widefield, Mesa Ridge and district rival Falcon.
