Giambi will play for Sky Sox Tuesday night
Recently signed free agent Jason Giambi has been activated by the Sky Sox and will be in the lineup for tonight Colorado Springs against Reno.
He will bat third and playing first base.
The Sky Sox indicated Monday that Giambi wouldn’t be activated until Wednesday’s game against Salt Lake, where the teams will use a designated hitter.
The move comes along with a flurry of roster moves. Eric Young Jr. and Matt Murton were both called up by the Rockies on Tuesday as Adam Eaton was optioned to Triple A and Dexter Fowler was placed on the disabled list
