Sky Sox set to host Tacoma

The Sky Sox (28-18) host Tacoma (26-21) in a four-game series that starts today. The Rainiers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners since 1995, dropped three of four in a series at Security Service Field in April and took three of four from the Sky Sox in Tacoma earlier this month.

PROSPECTS TO WATCHBryan LaHair, 1BA former 39th-round pick who worked his way onto Seattle’s roster last year, the 6-foot-5, 220 pounder looks to be on his way back this year with 10 home runs and 26 RBIs.

Gaby Hernandez, RHPOne of the younger starting pitchers in the Pacific Coast League at 22, he is 1-0 in two starts against the Sky Sox this season.

Matt Tuiasosopo, 3BThe No. 15 prospect in the Mariners organization is on the Rainiers’ roster but won’t see time in this series after undergoing elbow surgery.

NAMES YOU MAY KNOWJeff Clement, CThe No. 3 overall pick in the 2005 draft is batting .312 with 29 RBIs and a .539 slugging percentage.

Mike Morse, OFAfter earning time with Seattle in each of the past four seasons, he’s tied for eighth in the PCL with 35 RBIs.

Prentice Redman, OFBrother of former big-leaguer Tike Redman, Prentice hasn’t appeared in the majors since a short stint in 2003 but is batting .319 with 38 runs scored in 28 games.
