Nothing to do this weekend? How about taking time to cast your ballot?The El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office is opening all three early voting sites on Saturday. They are:Centennial Hall, 200 S. Cascade, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.Chapel Hills Mall, Suite 179, first level, below the food court, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.Citadel Mall, Suite 3124 near J.C. Penney, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.The sites will be closed on Sunday but will reopen on Monday. Early voting ends on Friday, Oct. 31.The clerk’s office said 6,241 people voted during the first three days of early voting this week. Of the 146,543 mail ballots requested so far, 45,853 have been returned. The previous record for mail ballot participation in a polling-place election year was in 2000 when 69,198 mail ballots were returned out of 73,408 requested.
