NFL Fantasy Football: He Said, She Said
MATT WILEY’S PICKSQuarterbackJ.T. O’Sullivan, 49ersThe San Francisco quarterback has been erratic, but he could be playing for his job. He has five touchdowns and nine interceptions during the 49ers four-game losing streak, but if he can’t play better against Seattle – he might be benched during the 49ers’ bye.
Running backEarnest Graham, BuccaneersThere is a chance he could finally be the featured back if Warrick Dunn rests his back injury. The Cowboys are giving up over 100 yards rushing per game and Graham does remain the goal-line back even if Dunn steals some carries this week.
ReceiverMarques Colston, SaintsHe did not have a catch last week for only the third time in two-plus seasons, but he should rebound with a full week of practice and it helps he is going against a suspect Chargers secondary. With Reggie Bush out, Colston should be a major force in the offense.
SleeperJerry Porter, JaguarsThe guy has been a bust so far this season because of injures, but someone is going to have to catch passes for Jacksonville with Matt Jones likely suspended. Reggie Williams of Porter could have a big day against the Browns.
AvoidMarshawn Lynch, BillsThe Dolphins have been stout against the run by allowing only 3.6 yards a carry. Although he is scoring touchdowns, Lynch is averaging only 3.5 yards per carry. Don’t expect Lynch to suddenly break out this week.
ANGIE DISALVO’S PICKSQuarterbackMatt Schaub, TexansHouston is sixth in passing offense (249 yards per game), and in the last three games Schaub has started he hasn’t thrown for less than 267 yards and a touchdown.
Running backThomas Jones, JetsIf she was available on the waiver wire, I would start my Nana this week against the Chiefs, who have proven that they’ll let anyone run loose. Jones will be this week’s benefactor of Kansas City’s more than generous 207.2 rushing yards per game average (last in the league).
ReceiverIsaac Bruce, 49ersThe veteran has caught half of the team’s touchdown catches with four, which is also the most on the team. Every other player have one if any. The Seahawks are 29th in pass defense and Bruce lit them up for 153 yards on four catches in Week 2.
SleeperGreg Camarillo, WR, DolphinsMiami is eighth in passing offense even with the installment and success of the single wing, Wildcat formation. Camarillo leads the team in catches and yards, and he’s still available in 88 percent of Yahoo! leagues.
AvoidPlaxico Burress, WR, GiantsThe G-Men face the league’s top pass defense in Pittsburgh this week. Burress seems to have a chip on his shoulder after his one-game suspension two weeks ago and a sideline argument with coach Tom Coughlin this past weekend. Plus, he’s only had one 100-yard game this season, and that was in Week 1.
