Sen. Ken Salazar spoke to the Colorado delegation at their breakfast meeting today, greeting them at 8 a.m.with a political pep talk.Salazar – who followed Congressmen John Salazar and Ed Perlmutter to the podium – cheered on Mark Udall in his run for the Senate, and gave a rundown of the important races in Colorado.Salazar said the party is ready to take on the seemingly impossible in the Republican stronghold of Colorado Springs.”In Colorado Springs, right in the heart of the beast, right in the home of Jim Dobson and others, we have a colonel, an Air Force veteran named Hal Bidlack,” Salazar said of the Congressional District 5 race. “Right now, if the election were held today, he would beat Doug Lamborn by one point.”We believe that even the unimaginable is doable.”
