Jeff Crank, Republican candidate for the 5th Congressional District, is again making the rounds. John McCain, R-Ariz., who visited Colorado today.Earmarks are amendments attached to spending bills that “earmark” public funding for specific projects or, at times, for specific contractors.The deadline for filing earmark requests was April 25.Lamborn said he might release his earmarks next week but said there’s confusion over how earmarks are defined.As for a debate, he said he will debate whomever is on the primary ballot. That will be known May 31.STICK IN THE EYEThe U.S. Chamber of Commerce endorses Rep. Doug Lamborn in his bid for another term, a snub of Crank, a former vice president at the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce.The U.S. Chamber represents more than 3 million businesses and organizations, according to a Lamborn press release.The group chose Lamborn because of his pro-business position.
