ACING THE TESTRep. Doug Lamborn, a Colorado Republican, has been judged “perfect” by the American Conservative Union, which monitors votes on economic, social, defense and foreign policy issues.

Said Lamborn, “I will continue the conservative voting record that the people of the district can count on.”

BRASS FOR BENTLEYBentley Rayburn, a Republican trying to unseat Lamborn in the 5th Congressional District, has issued a list of military and defense leaders who endorse him.

Rayburn said he should be elected to increase the number of military people in Congress where fewer Congress than 20 percent have served in uniform.

The retired Air Force major general said he would bring more military bacon home to the 5th District and create more jobs through defense spending.

Backers include Army Maj. Gen. Robert Mixon, past Fort Carson commander, former Air Force Undersecretary Peter Teets, Retired Air Force Gen. Lance Lord and many others listed at rayburnforcongress.org.

THEY LIKE JEFFEl Paso County Commissioners Dennis Hisey and Amy Lathen endorsed Jeff Crank, another GOP candidate in the 5th District.

He also is backed by the Credit Union Association of Colorado (CUAC), the trade association for Colorado’s 120 credit unions and its 1.7 million members – over 300,000 of which reside in Crank’s District.

The district includes El Paso, Teller, Lake, Fremont, Park, and Chaffee counties.
