A beloved annual concert series offering live music in a relaxed, family-friendly environment will return to Monument next week.

Concerts in the Park will sound off from 6:30-8:30 p.m., June 3 and each Wednesday during June and July in Limbach Park, 151 Front St., Monument. A revolving lineup of local bands showcasing a mix of genres ranging from country and pop to and rock ‘n’ roll covers make for this free, family fun tradition.

The series is a popular community staple because it offers an evening of live music in Limbach Park’s picturesque outdoor environment. Several thousand music concert-goers are expected to attend the eight 2-hour performances.

A rotating lineup of various local food trucks offering an assortment of cuisine and beverages will be available on site each week allowing concertgoers to grab dinner or snacks. Ciao Down, Crepes-N-Go, DaBeast Catering, Down South LA, Heavenly Tacos, Kona Ice Pikes Peak and Xtreme Coffee Roasters are among the participating companies.

Scheduled performances are:

June 3: Vinyl Nation plays the best of 1980s, 90s and the early 2000s rock ‘n’ roll. The band brings high energy GenX favorites to each performance with a playlist that includes something for concert-goers of all ages.

June 10: Hot Boots Band takes concertgoers to new music heights with their mix of foot-stomping, hand-clapping rock, country, pop, Latin and American song book repertoire. Bassist Christina Van Camp’s bright red boots hint at the band’s high-octane performance.

June 17: Winchester Road is a high-energy band that captures the spirit of country music. The band brings together the best of classic, 1990s and contemporary country music infused with Southern rock influences.

June 24: Voodoo Mountain is a Monument–based hard rock band that plays the harder side of rock music from the 1970’s to present day. Fans and event organizers praise the band for their heavy riffs, tight jams and talented, experienced lineup.

July 8: Mimic are a classic rock cover band known for their 1960s, 70s, 80s and 90s repertoire and performances at local music venues, festivals and private events. Seasoned musicians, each boasting decades of experience, comprise the band.

July 15: Skin&Bones is an energetic, female-fronted rock cover band boasting a diverse songbook covering 1980’s, 90’s, 2K and present-day favorites. “Best four-piece rock cover band in the Springs that I’ve run into…” Russell Park said in an August 8, 2025 Facebook post.

July 22: Ashtonz focuses chiefly on 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s rock popularized by The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones and The Who. The band injects fun into its performances having once invited the Town of Monument mayor to join in on drums.

July 29: Mojo Filter is a dynamic 8-piece band has been providing a memorable blend of country, funk, rock, soul and rhythm and blues. Known for their covers of artists Santana and the Allman Brothers.

Bands and food trucks are subject to change. No alcohol/liquor will be served or permitted. Because seating will be on the grass, concertgoers are encouraged to bring their own folding lawn chairs and/or a blanket. Well-behaved pets are welcome.

“The talented Winchester Road and Voodoo Band will be performing this year,” said Portia Hermann, events coordinator with the Town of Monument. “I am a big fan of the group Mimic and I am sure the public will love them too.”

Free admission plays a major role in the series’ popularity, making it a highly accessible and budget-friendly entertainment option. By combining live local music with a community block-party vibe, the event has become a highly anticipated summer tradition, Hermann said.

“This concert series is a great way to bring community together in downtown Monument to make friends and enjoy great music,” Hermann said.
