Work zone impacts: Construction continues on Beacon Lite Road
As El Paso County continues construction along Beacon Lite Road, county officials are warning drivers to expect changing traffic conditions and possible delays in the project area between Wakonda Way and Bricker Road.
Crews are completing trench evacuation, utility relocation and storm sewer installations on the east half of Beacon Lite Road, officials said in a March 23 news release.
Once the east half is completed, crews will shift traffic and begin work on the west half of the road.
Drivers should follow posted signs and be cautious near crews and equipment.

Travelers can access an alternate route around the construction using Wakonda Way, Aries Drive, Indi Drive and Palmer Divide Road.
Drivers should follow posted detour signs. Large trucks and other vehicles making deliveries that aren’t part of the construction project are encouraged to use the suggested alternative route to improve safety near the work zone.
