Tribune letters to the editor for March 11
Thanks for the Tribune
I just want to take a few minutes to thank you for “The Tribune”. It has evolved into a really interesting reading priority for me, and my wife too!
I enjoyed your editorial about the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) some months back. Our daughter played basketball at Ft. Lewis College and Metro State in the 1980s, and our son-in-law Joel Smith was the head of RMAC for a number of years.
Your article “Too Late to Pull the Plug” was very educational for me. I have really enjoyed having Direct TV with DVR. It works perfectly for us. We have it bundled with internet (very slow) and landline phone for $188 per month with CenturyLink. But I am grandfathered in on several features, so I am sure the same plan is more like $250 per month or thereabouts.
Just to give you an idea who is sending this message – My wife and I have been residents of Woodmoor for 19 years. I was a meteorologist for 40 years (no not TV!). Now taking walks in the neighborhood and mowing the lawn are among my major accomplishments! Emoji
Keep up the good work Doug. You have created quite a good newspaper from my point of view!
P.S. I am still feeling quite a bit of sadness after reading the article about the Royal Gorge Bridge suicides. Extra prayers tonight.
Jerry Klazura, Woodmoor
