Make a wish

The Student Council at Lewis-Palmer High School is making a dream come true for a child through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. They are hosting an assembly as part of the school’s annual “Wish Week” campaign to raise money for the foundation to grant life-changing wishes.

The school’s goal is to raise $15,000 to support kids like Alex, who will be in attendance at their Wish Week assembly on Friday, Jan. 23 from 10:26–11:26 a.m. During the last seven years, LPHS has raised more than $50,000 for Make-A-Wish. This year’s assembly will include shaving heads of students as part of their fundraising, and special t-shirts supporting Alex’s dream will be sold.

“Lewis-Palmer Student Council is extremely passionate about being involved with Make-A-Wish,” said Caroline Anderson, Student Body President. “It allows our student body to take part in something bigger. Inspiring other kids inspires us, and we can’t wait to see what impact we have this year!”

Lewis-Palmer High School is located at 1300 Higby Road in Monument.

Education accolades

Two students from Monument were honored by Adams State University in Alamosa. Peyton Priddy was named to the President’s Honor Roll Jocelyn Jones was named to the Vice President’s Honor Roll.

Hannah Turner of Monument and Emma Heppenstall of Larkspur were names to the fall 2025 dean’s list at Hofstra University.
