Florissant and Lake George fire districts announce toy drive
Teller and Park County First Responders are gearing up for Christmas with their annual Coat and Toy Drive. First Responders in both counties will be at Walmart in Woodland Park Nov. 28-29 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in hopes of filling the trucks with new, unwrapped toys and coats to be handed out before Christmas to local children and the elderly.
Florissant Fire Rescue will also be taking monetary donations, non-perishable food, new coats, hats, gloves and new unwrapped toys from now through Dec. 8 at Florissant Fire Station located at 2606 HWY 24, Station 51, Florissant.
Lake George Fire Protection District will have specially marked boxes at various merchants in Lake George and monetary donations are also welcome and can be dropped off at the station or mailed to Lake George Fire Protection District, PO Box 281, Lake George 80827.
The toy drive has been a successful endeavor for the years it has been going on and the looks on the faces of the children has made the effort worthwhile for all involved.

Deliveries of items will be arranged prior to Christmas. Join them in helping unfortunate children enjoy Christmas and spread cheer to elderly shut ins.
