WOODLAND PARK

Winter Day in the Park

Friday, December 5, 2025, 3:30 – 6 p.m.

Location: Memorial Park, 200 N. Park Ave.

A free community event featuring a community fireside sing-a-long, festive treats, petting zoo, holiday craft table, Story-time reading, Elf Scramble for candy canes and a visit with Santa from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Hot chocolate, adult beverages, and light refreshments will be available. Lights Above the Clouds Parade

Saturday, Dec. 6 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. along CO 24

“This evening parade is a holiday classic with floats, lights, and ‘warm your bum’ fires,” the event Facebook page says. “The after-party is held at the Ute Pass Cultural Center with awards, entertainment, hot chocolate, coffee, cookies and holiday drinks sold at the bar”

Winter Holiday Parents’ Night Out

Location: Woodland Aquatic Center, 111 N. Baldwin St.,

CASCADE

The North Pole – Santa’s Workshop!

Location: 5050 Pikes Peak Hwy, Cascade

Bringing Christmas enchantment to children of all ages for 69 years, The North Pole – Colorado is a 25 acre Christmas-themed amusement park located on the slopes of Pikes Peak. The vintage park features over 24 rides, a village of souvenir gift shops, reindeer barn, ornamental glass blower, Magic Show, U.S. Post Office, Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard and a miniature chapel with nativity, plus an opportunity to visit with Santa. Enjoy a relaxing ride on a train, or take in breathtaking mountain views from a gondola, or the top of the iconic Ferris Wheel. Shop in one of the unique gift shops or enjoy an ice cream cone, funnel cake or meal at one of the eateries.

Christmas in the Pines

Saturday, Dec. 13, 12 – 3 p.m.

Location: Pikes Peak Community Center / Divide Library, 11122 U.S. Hwy. 24

Decorate ornaments and cookies, Photos with Santa, Christmas music and sing-a-long. Holiday vendors, a reading of “A Night Before Christmas” at 2 p.m., Christmas movies, plus hot holiday drinks and baked goods! A free community event.

FLORISSANT

Community Thanksgiving Celebration

Nov. 26, 5:30. – 8 p.m.

Location: Florissant events at the Florissant Grange, 2009 County Rd. 31

Gather with neighbors and enjoy food, music and fellowship at the iconic Florissant Grange for a Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings. Take-out is available by texting 719-510-2325. The event is free; donations to assist community programs are always appreciated.

Christmas Bazaar at the Grange

Dec. 6-7, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

A Christmas Party with Santa

Bring your children to the Florissant Grange for Christmas festivities and enjoy free food, music, gifts, plus a visit with Santa and photos.

FLORISSANT FOSSIL BEDS

The historic 1878 Hornbek Homestead is a designated area where visitors can enjoy View the Winter Night Skies after regular park hours. Visitors often use this site for viewing of celestial objects because of its unrestricted view of the night sky. The Hornbek Homestead area and parking lot is open to the public 24 hours a day.

MUELLER STATE PARK

Nature’s Decorations

Sat, Dec. 20, 10 a.m. – 12 noon

Make natural-themed ornaments at the Visitor Center using elements in nature such as pinecones, sticks and leaves, to create an ornament for the holidays or every day decoration. Participants can choose to take their ornament home or add it to the holiday tree in the Visitor Center.

First Day Hikes

Thursday, Jan. 1, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Begin 2026 with fresh air and movement! There will be four guided hikes to choose from depending on your preferences and abilities. Come prepared with water, layers, snacks and sturdy footwear. Spikes may also be helpful this time of year.

CRIPPLE CREEK

Gold Camp Country Christmas events begin Wednesday, Nov. 26 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. with a community Thanksgiving dinner at the Aspen Mine Center located at 166 E. Bennett Ave.

Small Business Saturday

Saturday, Nov. 29, All Day

Local businesses highlighted through a 50 gift bag give-away at Cripple Creek City Hall beginning at 10 a.m.Community Christmas Tree Lighting at Pocket Park begins at 6 p.m. with free hot chocolate, cider and marshmallow roasting over an open fire.

Winter Wonderland and Community Party reception at the Aspen Mine Center (Thursday, Dec. 11, 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. ) with a silent auctioning of decorated Christmas trees, wreaths and holiday baskets donated by business and community members to benefit the Teller County community and programs. ( Contest sign-up begins Nov. 24). All proceeds are designated to bring a full Christmas to local families with gift cards for food, clothing and presents through a partnership with the Salvation Army.

Soup for the Soul and Greatest Gold Camp Cookie Contest (Friday, Dec. 12, 11:30 – 1:30 p.m. ) entices local chefs with an opportunity to win a golden ladle and bragging rights for their efforts during a community luncheon. Only $5 to taste some of Cripple Creek’s best offerings!

There are several events on Saturday, Dec. 13:

Cripple Creek Parks and Recreation Annual Christmas Craft Fair (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.) with handmade items and homemade jams, breads and sweets at the June Hack Recreation Center.

Look for Cripple Creek’s famous donkeys in the Cripple Creek Gold Camp Country Christmas Parade (noon) with decorated floats traveling down Bennett Ave., the city’s main thoroughfare. Businesses, organizations and community members are encouraged to join the parade. Parade registration is free, but space is limited; submit entry forms by Dec. 5 to kspillane@cripple-creek.co.us or in person at Cripple Creek City Hall. For additional details call 719-270-1999.

A Visit with Santa and Kid’s Craft activities at the Aspen Mine Center from 12:30 – 2 p.m.

Hot Chocolate, Cider, and S’Mores, plus luncheon at the Aspen Mine Center from 11:30 a.m. till 1:30 p.m.

The Colorado Springs Chorale, sponsored by the Community of Caring Foundation, present their annual Christmas Concert fundraising performance from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. at the Cripple Creek Baptist Church.

Dec. 17 – Time for Teens gift card give-away and pizza social at the Cripple Creek and Victor High School Commons – following school hours.

The U.S Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots (Dec. 18 – 4:30, 6 p.m.) at the CC-V Commons to present a toy give-away for all children attending.

Cripple Creek’s Butte Theater presents Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, an uplifting and inspiring musical for all ages. Based on the beloved movie of the same name, White Christmas features a dazzling score along with the perennial title song.

Following World War II, veterans and successful song-and-dance partners Bob Wallace and Phil Davis follow two beautiful singing sisters to their Christmas show at a Vermont ski lodge owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander.

Under the direction of Michael Lasris of Green Glass Productions, this holiday presentation features both professional cast members and local actors and crew.

The Victor Ice Rink opens Thanksgiving Weekend!

Jump in your vehicle and take a drive south on Hwy 67 to experience decorated mining head frame lighting displays throughout the Gold Camp District between Cripple Creek and Victor. Play your personal favorite Christmas tunes while on a self-guided tour to view remnants of the gold rush era against the backdrop of starlit, mountain skies. The displays are best viewed after dusk along Colorado Hwy 67 S. and Teller County Rd. 81 – weather and road conditions permitting.
