Successful blood drive

In these time of troubling perceptions, I’d like to offer words that inspire. Our little Counties of Teller and Park are amazing. 6 times a year we run a Blood Drive at Our Lady of the Woods Church and we average 100+ pints of blood. I hate needles … Lord knows I hate needles, but we pay it forward and save thousands of lives yearly. Woodland Park is the #1 Donor source for Southern Colorado. Think about that. This small community makes the world a better place and saves lives. You Folks never cease to amaze me…. I see the same faces, and some new ones every drive. We are not Left or Right, we are one with the folks who need us. You never know who’s life you save…. But when your time comes to stand before our Lord, he will say “Blessed are you, for you cared….” Our next drive is 10 November, I promise you the best Chocolate Chip Cookies, Lemon Bars and other goodies. The Donors make a difference. Make a difference, save a life…. Brag to your kids and Grandkids……

“Oh no! Outside agitators! It’s the Union! Come on bro! Because the union, such as it was, worked in partnership with the school board on a raft of important personnel issues, that somehow makes it evil?

Such is the logic of actual outside agitators creating fictions that energize the paranoia of people who listen to all the wrong media. So, the fact that you have issues with how the district was run means that there must have been bad guys drifting in and “funding” the evil doers? AND THEY’RE STILL COMING? Hide the women! Can’t you feel it though? Normal people are just tired of hearing about how they’re under attack all the time from outsiders with agendas.

Though it makes perverse sense considering that it’s exactly the kind of thing we’ve been painfully experiencing with the overthrow of the previous board by a raft of interesting characters who were actually funded by outside interests. For those of you out there listening to reason, the union was never the boogeyman some of these dudes want you to believe. WPSD never had boys playing on girls’ teams. Secret agents from Denver weren’t whispering in people’s ears trying to institute Marxism (whatever that is). The policies you rail against were a response to low scores not the cause, and they were working, and now they’ll start dropping. Don’t you people see that you’re in a bad movie of the week? Write your own ending. Vote the 3Gs and be sane again.”
