Candidates forum

A forum will be held to meet and hear from candidates for the Woodland Park School District Board.

The forum, hosted by the Greater Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce, will be on Oct. 6 at the Ute pass Cultural Center.

Vintage baseball

Hayden Ball Park in Divide will take a trip to the past on Oct. 11. The Colorado Vintage Base Ball Team will play the Divide Fire Department at 1 p.m. that day, using baseball rules of yesteryear.

Art walk

Join the inaugural First Friday Art Walk in Woodland Park during “Arts Month.” The walk, which will be held Oct. 3 from 4-7 p.m., will visit eight unique locations with the opportunity to also listen to live music. You can catch the shuttle if you prefer to ride and have fun checking out the original artwork.

Cybercrime

The Woodland Park Police Department will be hosting a community engagement meeting Sept. 17 focused on scam and fraud activity. Ent Credit Union will providing information on fraud and scam prevention.

The forum will be from 6-8 p.m. at the Ute Pass Cultural Center.

Movie night

Community Partnership family Resource Center will be showing “Encanto” during a family movie night on Sept. 20. The doors open at 5:45 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:30 p.m.

“Come make a snack, grab popcorn and a drink and get comfy,” says the event poster. “Bring a mat, blanket, pillow or chair.”

Autumn leaves

“Autumn Leaves,” a benefit concert for the Cripple Creek-Victor Music Department will be held on Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Butte Theater.

Education accolades

Mia Garcia and Cayla Mallett of Woodland Park were named to the summer 2025 president’s list at Southern New Hampshire University.
