Last week the Woodland Park Boys’ soccer team beat Pueblo East for the second time this season 8-0.
Seven different players scored for the Panthers. Jamie Urban had three assists alongside a goal. Freshman goalie Liam Rawson had two saves and junior goalie Dominic Tzudiker had three in sharing the shutout of the Eagles.
Football
Saie Soto scored on a 59-yard run to provide the lone highlight on a tough night as the Panthers were beaten 41-8 by Colorado Springs Christian School on Sept. 13.
Volleyball
The Panthers had two close games this week beating Coronado 3-2 and suffering a loss against Banning Lewis Academy (1-3) just barely losing the last set 25-27.
The Panthers won the first 2 sets against The Stallions keeping the pressure till the third set where both teams were evenly matched but The Panthers were able to claim a victory from The Stallions.
Softball
The Panthers had a swift victory over Palmer (18-3) ending after just 3 innings mercy ruling The Terrors. On the 11th The Panthers lost 11-24 against Coronado.
Against The Terrors Christine Renteria scored a home run from The Panthers as well as 4 runs batted in, and 3 runs. Despite the oncoming rain The Panthers swiftly brought home another win for Woodland Park.
