Scam alert
The Greater Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce has issued a warning about a scam being perpetrated using its name.
A “text” indicating it is being sent by the Woodland Park Chamber@WoodlandParkChamber378 is a scam, according to the chamber.
This alert deals with “Friends on Facebook”.
The Chamber said it has not created a New Facebook account nor has it sent “texts” to try to gain “new Facebook friends”
Good Vibes
The 3rd annual ‘Woodland Park Night’ at the Rocky Mountain Vibes baseball game in Colorado Springs will be on Friday, Aug. 15, as they take on the Oakland Ballers. Enjoy the game from community-reserved seating.

Wildfire contained
The wildfire burning near the Mountain View Estates subdivision north of Buena Vista was contained on July 11, according to the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office.
After reaching 50% containment that morning, fire crews were able to fully contain the blaze around noon. The wildfire destroyed two homes and prompted evacuations.
